There are fifty days to go until the November Presidential Election! Currently Missouri voters are leaning towards McCain; however, the state is still too close to call. At present McCain has a 49.8% lead over Obama's 44.3% according to pollster.com’s “Trend Estimate” and is “Leaning McCain” according to politico.com’s “Swing Map” which calls McCain’s lead over Obama 50.3%. In previous presidential elections Missouri has voted:
2004- Bush, 53.3; Kerry, 46.1; Nader, 0.05
2000- Bush, 50.42; Gore, 47.08; Nader, 1.63
1996- Clinton, 47.5; Dole, 41.2; Perot, 10.1
1992- Clinton, 44.1; Bush, 33.9; Perot, 21.7
Also according to pollster.com’s “Trend Estimate” the current Governor Election is:
Nixon (D)- 49.5
Hulshof (R)- 41.6
